Internal Medicine at Lake Manassas

Esther Bahk, M.D. and Larry Heath, M.D.

New Fauquier Health medical offices are now open with two Fauquier Health internal medicine physicians, Esther Bahk, M.D and Larry Health, MD. Other specialists are expected to locate there in the near future as well. Located on U.S. 29, next to The Cancer Center at Lake Manassas, the new doctors’ offices will not be just another medical building. The focus will be convenient, patient-centered care for busy families. Amenities of the new facility will include the following:

• A concierge to meet patients at the front desk, answer questions and help them navigate through the process
• A business café with Wi-Fi service for those who would like to work — or play — on their computer while they wait for family members
• Extended hours, including some early mornings, evenings and weekends. Fauquier Health leaders want to make life easier for those who commute long hours to work and may have trouble making medical appointments
• Same-day appointments for non-emergency care
• Access to Fauquier Hospital diagnostic scheduling and records, and radiology or laboratory tests to be completed at the hospital may be arranged from the Lake Manassas offices.

Dr. Bahk brings to our team a passion for wellness and disease prevention, as evidenced by the large number of health fairs she has organized over the years. Through these public forums, she is able to improve lives by highlighting the threats that jeopardize the overall health of the community. Specializing in internal medicine, Dr. Bahk encourages her patients to become more interested in their own health status, and to take a more active role in their own healthcare decisions.

Larry Heath, MD

Dr. Heath is not just a well-rounded physician, he’s a well-rounded citizen. Over the years, he has not only served on, chaired and directed various medical boards and committees, but he has also served as a trustee for retirement plans, a town board supervisor, a town economic growth committee member and a youth hockey association board member. For Dr. Heath, it's not just about medicine, it’s about the whole person and the whole community. Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Heath brings to Fauquier Health a strong desire to empower and engage every patient, family member and citizen of Fauquier County and the surrounding communities. For the past 30 years, Dr. Heath has been in a private practice and a staff physician in California and Wisconsin. Prior to that, Dr. Heath was an emergency medicine physician and the director of emergency services at San Joaquin General Hospital in Stockton, California. During his career, he also performed over 13 years of clinical teaching appointments at the University of the Pacific, the University of California (Davis) and the Marshfield Clinic.
